In general, the term LECA (Light Expanded Clay Aggregate) refers to expanded clay. However, Lecapon is a brand name from LECA Company used for naming agricultural granules. These granules are completely different from construction-grade LECA aggregates.
During production, Lecapon is crystallized after being heated to 1200°C and, once cooled, becomes ready for use in agriculture.
